Receipies from Casa Di Trevi

Pasta is one of the most versatile and popular foods, with which you can create many delicious recipes. Some as simple as adding a touch of olive oil and parsley to a freshly made pasta to creating a gourmet dinner infused with flavor.

Each month, we’ll feature some of our favorite recipes, and to make things even easier for you, we’ve placed an asterisk * on all of the items we carry in our retail store.

Here are some simple recipes to get a delicious dinner on the table quickly!

 

Spinach Tortellini Soup

INGREDIENTS

    *  1 bag Spinach Tortellini (ON SALE THIS MONTH)

        6 cups Chicken Broth

        1 pkg. Chopped Spinach (Thawed)

    *  1 can Chopped Tomatoes

        2 tsp. Garlic (Minced)

        Salt, Pepper, and basil (to taste)

    *  1 cont. grated Parmesan or Romano Cheese

DIRECTIONS

Simmer the chicken stock in a large pot. Stir in one bag of spinach tortellini and continue to simmer gently for another 3 minutes. Next, make sure excess water is squeezed from the spinach and add to pot. Add garlic, basil, salt, pepper and tomatoes and stir well. Return to a simmer and cook for 3-5 more minutes. Serve with parmesan or romano cheese if desired.
