Receipies from Casa Di Trevi

Pasta is one of the most versatile and popular foods, with which you can create many delicious recipes. Some as simple as adding a touch of olive oil and parsley to a freshly made pasta to creating a gourmet dinner infused with flavor.

Each month, we’ll feature some of our favorite recipes, and to make things even easier for you, we’ve placed an asterisk * on all of the items we carry in our retail store.

Here are some simple recipes to get a delicious dinner on the table quickly!

 

Fried Cheese Ravioli

INGREDIENTS

    *  1 bag Small Square Cheese Ravioli

    *  1 quart Casa di Trevi Italian - Style Breadcrumbs  

    *  1/4 cup Grated Parmesan or Romano Cheese (Optional)

    *  1 quart Marinara Sauce

    *  Olive Oil, for frying

        1 cup Buttermilk

DIRECTIONS

Start by putting the buttermilk and the bread crumbs in two small separate bowls. Dip theravioli in buttermilk to coat completely then dredge ravioli in the bread crumbs. Place the ravioli on a baking sheet, and continue with the remaining ravioli.

In a large, deep frying pan pour enough olive oil to reach about an inch of depth in the pan. Heat the oil over medium heat.

When the oil is hot, fry the ravioli in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried ravioli to paper towels to drain excess oil. If desired, sprinkle the ravioli with grated cheese. Either cover the ravioli with sauce or put sauce on the side to dip the ravioli in and ENJOY!
