Receipies from Casa Di Trevi

Pasta is one of the most versatile and popular foods, with which you can create many delicious recipes. Some as simple as adding a touch of olive oil and parsley to a freshly made pasta to creating a gourmet dinner infused with flavor.

Each month, we’ll feature some of our favorite recipes, and to make things even easier for you, we’ve placed an asterisk * on all of the items we carry in our retail store.

Here are some simple recipes to get a delicious dinner on the table quickly!

*Our Hit* Summer Pasta Salad with Fresh Rigatoni

INGREDIENTS

*   2 lbs. Fresh Casa di Trevi Rigatoni, cooked al dente

     1 Red Bell Pepper

     1 Yellow Bell Pepper

     1 pint Cherry Tomatoes

     1 small Red Onion

     1 small head Broccoli

     1 small wedge Provolone Cheese

     1-2 packets of Good Seasonings Italian Dressing  (and White Vinegar, Olive Oil, & Water)

     Pinch Garlic Powder

     Salt, to taste

     Black Pepper, to taste

    

DIRECTIONS

Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain the pasta and rinse under cold water. Toss with 1 TBS of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cut the peppers, tomatoes, onion, broccoli, and provolone cheese into small pieces. Mix the Good Seasonings Italian Dressing packets according to package directions. For this you will also need White Vinegar, Water, and Olive Oil. Toss the pasta with all ingredients and dressing. Add salt, black pepper, and a pinch of garlic powder to taste.

This pasta salad was a hit at our recent ShopRite in-store demo. Great in the summertime as a side dish for the bbq. Enjoy!
